Hello fellow sleuths! I finally recorded the walkthrough for Nancy Drew: Codes and Clues today, but it wasn't without it's fair share of technical difficulties. Just like I stated in yesterday's post, Codes and Clues has a bug that causes the game to crash after being open for about 5 seconds. It was getting increasingly frustrating, and honestly, I was getting ready to give up. UNTIL the game decided to finally work. Unfortunately, due to the hour of day it decided to start working, it was a little bit late to start recording. I went to bed, and when I woke up, the game was crashing once again. I spent more time trying to get it to work and I finally discovered the main cause of the issue. Turns out, if you're trying to run the free version of the game, you get stuck behind this annoying bug. However, if you run the paid version, everything is ok and it runs just as normal. I really don't understand it. It's quite frustrating, especially for those who have never bough it and aren't able to buy it in under 5 seconds. As I already owned the game, I just had to convince the game that it had already been bought. Turns out, it's a lot harder to do than one might think. Regardless, I got it to work and I'm super relieved about it. On another note, I joined the River Heights Buzz podcast to record their latest episode of their show tonight! I had a great time talking about the Nancy Drew games and books. Stay tuned for it's release (hopefully within the next day or two)! The other day, I decided to try and recreate one of the older Nancy Drew logos in a SVG format (check out this blog post for more info). I was successful, but it was way more difficult than I had hoped it would be! Take a look at it below! That about wraps up today's post! Until next time, detectives!
Anyone have any ideas on how I could record a walkthrough for Mobile Mysteries: Shadow Ranch? Huw
