Hello fellow sleuths! Often times when I find artwork from the ND games, it's in a low resolution. In certain cases, I've got the skills and tools to recreate it in a much higher resolution.
Some art pieces are much easier to recreate than others. Today, I'm working on recreating the River Heights logo from Alibi in Ashes in SVG format. An SVG is a scalable vector graphic. That means that an SVG image file can be scaled to any size, no matter how large or small. It also means that they look a lot better than a normal JPG or PNG when printed! They're quite durable and a great asset when working in Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. Here's a screenshot of the work in progress!
I can't wait to finish it. It's going to be great to have this in SVG format and I may even make my own custom merchandise with it! I won't be able to sell it, obviously, but it's still pretty cool! Trying to replicate gradients is quite difficult, but once it more or less works out, it's fantastic. Have you ever tried to recreate art from the Nancy Drew games? If you have, comment a link to the work and I'll feature it in the next post!
Until next time!
