Hello fellow sleuths! I've added a few new items to the Downloads page that I would love to chat about! A while ago, I came across HeR Interactive's Statement of Quality from around 2009 or so which I felt was super cool and important. I created a document highlighting it and made it available on the Downloads page of my website! I felt that their statement of quality was super important, especially regarding what shipped with Midnight in Salem. My hope is that they can follow it a little more closely with Mystery of the Seven Keys and future games! The second item I just finished adding is a .zip folder full of album art for the Nancy Drew soundtracks! Most of these aren't official but still look great and are very closely based off of original work from HeR. You can see the example below. The first two images are official HeR Interactive sales ads, and the third image is my recreation. Click on images to enlarge. All the album art is done in this style (including MID and the Dossiers). As a bonus, I've included the official album art for Music for Mysteries Volumes I-V in the folder! Although they aren't nearly as large as the other ones, they still do the job. I use them all the time and I hope they'll be of use to you! Last month, I had the amazing opportunity to be a guest on the American Marketing Association Sacramento Valley podcast discussing Nancy Drew and word of mouth marketing for the games. The other guests were Calina of StoryRetold, Carter of The Nancy Drew Times, and Caitlyn of Wizard Kitten (you can learn more about them here). We had such a great time talking about Nancy Drew, HeR Interactive, the community, and so much more! The podcast is viewable below: HeR held a giveaway on Friday July 7th to win an exclusive poster for Nancy Drew: Mystery of the Seven Keys. This poster will remain a secret until they start showing up in people's mail boxes. There were 34 winners and I happened to be one of them! I'm super excited and can't wait to get mine. However, HeR wouldn't ship the poster directly to me in Canada due to contest laws, so it's getting shipped to a friend in the States, then up to me. I'll probably be the last person to get it, but it will still be super exciting regardless! I plan on making a full unboxing video showing it off when I get it. I've already got a place for it, too! My guess is that it will arrive sometime mid-to-late August. That's alright with me!
Another project I've been working on for quite a while is converting all the Nancy Drew game credits into an easily accessible file. I've got only 2 more to convert and then I'll be adding them to each of the game pages. The main purpose of this is to have the credits list as it appears in-game always available in one place without having to open the game and go find it (a few of the games only have the credits viewable once you complete the game) and then wait for the credits to get to a specific point. I'm not sure when they'll be added, but it will be soon so keep an eye out! That about wraps up today's post. Until next time, detectives! Huw
