Fun Facts:

HeR Interactive filed for the trademark "Mystery of the Seven Keys" on October 12, 2021. HeR Interactive had never trademarked the titles of any of their past Nancy Drew games. It wasn't until May 26th, 2023 that HeR confirmed it to be the game's official title.
Mystery of the Seven Keys is the second Nancy Drew PC game to be developed using Unity instead of HeR Interactive's proprietary engine.
HeR Interactive officially confirmed and announced this game's development on April 4th, 2023.
Multiple past voice actors have returned for this mystery including Scott Carty as Ned Nickerson, Jonah von Spreecken as Frank Hardy, Rob Jones and Joe Hardy, and Ken Boynton as Carson Drew. Brittany Cox also returns to voice Nancy Drew for a second time.
Mystery of the Seven Keys is the third Nancy Drew game in a row to take place in Europe. Although Midnight in Salem didn't solely feature Europe as the main location of the mystery, the events were initiated in Europe.
The logo for this game features a different typeface than the ones used for games 1-32 and 33. The first 32 used Flange BQ, and 33 used an altered version of Dunelm. This game used Bookman JF with alternate characters outside of the default ones.
Ryan Ricks, the music composer for Midnight in Salem, returned to write the music for this game.
This is the first game in a long time to not offer a pre-order period. HeR Interactive intended to launch this game first on their website, followed by a Steam release and limited physical release later in 2024.
Mystery of the Seven Keys reintroduced Nancy's physical journal for keeping track of notes compared to the journal on her phone.
For the first time in a Nancy Drew game, Nancy's cell phone will be a foldable touch-screen phone. Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Fold, this is the first cell phone to feature 2 screens instead of just one.
The entire user interface, menu screens, and cursors have all been redesigned to include much more style and color than the same elements from Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem.
HeR Interactive updated the navigation system for this game from the previous one. The first 32 Nancy Drew games featured a point-and-click navigation system that allowed players to "snap" from screen to screen without any movement animation. Midnight in Salem changed this when they added a gliding motion between each screen. They reverted back to a more classic style with this game as well as introducing a free-roam style where players use the WASD keys to move. Nancy can also sprint for the first time.
This game saw a price increase from the $21.99 USD from the previous game to $32.00 USD. This is the most expensive Nancy Drew PC/Mac game to date.
Like Midnight in Salem, this game did not feature a teaser trailer at the end for the next mystery adventure.
HeR Interactive opened up physical pre-orders for this game starting on May 21st, 2024 running until June 11th, 2024. Beyond this period, HeR will not be making any more physical copies of this game thus meaning the only way to get a physical copy of the game is to pre-order it. The physical version will be unavailable on Mac and only available for PC.
Mystery of the Seven Keys released digitally on Steam on June 20th, 2024.

Radek Nepovím

Radek is a spirited actor and puppeteer who runs the pop-up marionette theater in Prague Castle’s courtyard. Radek’s eccentric personality comes to life when he is able to share his passion for Prague’s culture and historical marionette arts. His charismatic disposition makes him popular with kids and tourists.

Eliška “Elka” Strojník

Elka, a computer science student, is an intelligent woman with a strong sense of conviction. She runs half of Aparát alongside her grandfather, which she has turned into an electronics shop. She is secretly fond of Radek, but doesn’t understand his devotion to bygone marionette theater.

Oskar Dvořák

Oskar is a specialty exhibit curator whose experience working with valuable collections at prestigious museums has earned him the role of director at Prague Castle’s newest exhibit. He is a relentless and erudite perfectionist whose excessive pride and arrogance often makes him disagreeable.

Adela Čzerná

Hard-working and self-made, Adela is a woman who seems to know more than she tells. Her studies and business dealings have allowed her to travel the world, leading many to believe she is of noble blood.
Despite her popularity, Adela prefers a rather simple, low-key lifestyle, and cares deeply for her home country of Czechia.

Patricie Vítkovci

Patricie is the owner of the Hungerkünstler Café, a local favorite that has been in her family for generations. She seems to know a bit about everything and everyone and has a habit of enlisting her customers to help around the café. She privately wishes for a more glamorous lifestyle, but is committed to maintaining her family’s legacy.

Vladéna Zlatý

Vladéna is an expert in gemology and appraisals with a long family history in Prague’s gem business. She is the owner of Zlatý Custom Jewelry, a prestigious store where she crafts her own branded jewelry. As the first woman in her family to be a store owner, she has little patience for those who may question her or her expertise.

Zane Garrett

Specializing in the security of precious gems, Zane is an international cybersecurity agent based in Africa working for the ICA. He is authoritative and formal while working, but outside of business matters is an easygoing man with a lighthearted sense of humor.

Marek Strojník

Marek is an elderly craftsman and tinkerer who runs the other half of Aparát. Contrary to his granddaughter Elka, he has no interest in modern technology, as his passions are deeply rooted in Prague’s past. Most people have to earn his respect before he is willing to talk to them much.

Leo Sokol

Leo Sokol of St. Vitus Cathedral is a compassionate older gentleman who is well respected by government officials and locals alike. He cares deeply about Prague, its people, and its history and is always willing to offer his advice to those who need it. Leo is an avid player of the trick-taking card game Mariáš.
