Hey everyone! It has been SO long since I’ve posted on here! I really do apologize for that! I just haven’t had the inspiration to work on this blog, and I’ve also been incredibly busy with school. Anyways, I’ve got a few things I want to chat about!
I recently decided to export all the static image files from ND games 26-32 just to see what kind of files the games had. I found some pretty wacky images in all the games that HeR just left in the game when they shipped it! Check this one out from Tomb of the Lost Queen:
When they were building and testing the game, they used George Fayne’s character model from Alibi in Ashes as a placeholder for Dylan Carter’s character! On top of that, they used the previous user interface buttons, cursors, and dialogue boxes as placeholder art for the new user interface! Now check this one out from The Deadly Device:
The artists were doing some tests with Victor’s character model sitting in Niko’s office, and Victor turned out to be a bit larger and out of place than originally anticipated! Of course, they sorted everything out before the game’s release, but it’s still a funny image to come across in the game files! I really miss the old days of HeR Interactive! They were truly exciting.
I also recorded and released two more walkthroughs! These are for Message in a Haunted Mansion on the GBA and for Curse of Blackmoor Manor on the DVD! Check them out below:
That about does it for today! I’m going to try and keep this blog going. It’s something I think I should fit into my life again. However, I probably won’t be making a post everyday. That’s a lot to be worrying about. What do you guys think of those game file images? Thanks for reading and I’ll see you guys again soon!
