Hello fellow sleuths! I've been scrambling to finish everything for the video I'm releasing tomorrow, and we're finally in the home stretch!
It's been a lot of fun to edit this video together. I would say even more so than actually filming it! The toughest part about shooting a video like this is that it's incredibly hard to know whether or not any of it will be cohesive or even work. However, as I've been editing it all together, I'm realizing that the editing room is where the real magic happens. It takes these somewhat lifeless clips and gives them a purpose. It's really exciting!
Keep in mind when the video comes out tomorrow that I am by no means an actor. I wrote a script and hardly stuck to the lines at all. The script was more of a written sequence of events in the film with dialogue that I couldn't be bothered to try and learn! Either way, when it's all said and done I think it definitely has some charm. If I had more time to fine tune it, I'm sure it could've been much better. But, with this lovely little thing called "life" existing, it makes it that much more difficult to get anything done. I've been wanting to make this video for 2 years, and am happy to finally say that it's nearly done.
How are you planning on celebrating Nancy's birthday? Any special plans? Will you be reading The Secret of the Old Clock, or even playing the game of the same name? Will you throw a mystery party? Let me know in the comments, I'd be very curious to hear your answers!
That about does it for today's post. Until next time, detectives!
