Hello fellow sleuths! I'm going to tell you right now that for everyone in my family, today did not end up being what we had originally planned. My dad and brother had plans to go suit shopping for my brother's graduation this year, my sister planned on studying for finals, mom hoped to get shopping done, and I planned to record videos. Instead, we've all been doing some pretty intense cleaning. I mean, my family has done significantly more real-life, in-person cleaning than I have. I sat down to get prepped for recording and instead found myself re-organizing my entire archive/library of Nancy Drew files on my computer. I just finished now and am very happy with how neat and tidy a lot of it is. There's still quite a bit of work to be done, but I got some really messy parts dealt with. I also discovered that Adobe Acrobat is now one of my favorite tools ever. Did you know that you can actually extract images from some PDF files? I've known about it for a while, but just found out today that I can also extract SVG images from them. For those that have read past blog posts, you'll know that I absolutely LOVE SVG files. Take a look at a few of the ones I managed to extract this morning: I was super stoked about these. The first image was one that I had wanted to obtain for a long time and now I finally have it. I already had the Dare to Play logo, however it wasn't in HD. And I had recreated the magnifying glass, but this is the real thing and doesn't suffer from any replication faults! Now that I have all of these in an SVG format, I can do whatever I want with them! As long as it stays within legal ramifications, of course. Going along with the Spring Cleaning spiel, I went into the kitchen the other day and saw this little water fountain that my mom had found. It reminded of Shadow at the Water's Edge! Finally, to end off this post, I've been getting tons of requests to make a video or two on the beta for The Secret of Shadow Ranch. I'm very excited to say that I plan on recording a full playthrough of the game! As a teaser, here is the startup image for the game. Notice how drastically different it is from the shipped version. I'm really looking forward to recording the playthrough! Stay tuned on my YouTube channel for the release of the first video!
That about wraps up today's post. Until next time, detectives! Huw
