Hello fellow sleuths! I hope you were able to either fool someone or get fooled! All jokes aside, today is the first day of April! It's rather shocking, actually, how quick time has passed. Regardless, I hope the year has treated everyone well so far! This month also marks the 92nd anniversary of Nancy Drew! That aside, I've got a few things to discuss today. First off, Calina Herman of StoryRetold posted a great video today talking about how HeR used to choose what the next Nancy Drew game would be. There's some cool behind the scenes stories and some Easter eggs that are revealed! You can check out the video here: Next, I would just like to say that HeR has officially kicked-off the Nancy Drew All Games Bundle sale that runs from now until April 25th! If you're new to the series, or know someone who is just getting started, click on the image below! Use code COLLECTOR22 to get the bundle for $180. NOTE: this is not an ad placement, I just wanted to help promote the company. Finally, I was doing a little bit of research into Tim Jacobus today. For those that aren't aware of him or his work, he has been illustrating the book covers for the Goosebumps series since the beginning! But since Goosebumps isn't related to Nancy Drew, the reason I'm mentioning him is because he also did the beautiful cover illustrations for all the Nancy Drew games! You can check out Tim on his website here: http://www.jacobusstudios.com/ Anyways, I was perusing his website for no reason when I came across his schedule for visiting fan expos. I couldn't help but notice he went to the Vancouver Fan Expo in February. You know who also went to the Vancouver Fan Expo in February? Me! You know who COMPLETELY missed out on the fact that Tim Jacobus, the illustrator of the Nancy Drew covers, was at the fan expo? ME! You know who can't believe they could have got a picture and/or signature from the famed artist??
I think you get the picture. The point is, he was at the fan expo and I was too distracted trying to find another friend who was there that I completely missed his booth. I'm rather... annoyed, haha! Anyways, such is life, and that's just the way she goes! Have you ever had a moment like that where you later realize that a really cool person was in the same place as you, but you had no clue and didn't get the chance to say hello? That about wraps up today's post. Until next time, detectives! Huw
