Hello fellow sleuths! As I'm sure some have noticed, the music of the Nancy Drew games is amazing. Did you know that some songs went through multiple iterations before arriving on the final version?
Last year, I had an amazing email conversation with Thomas Regin, the man who composed the soundtracks for games 26-32. We talked about the soundtracks, what they were like to write, and various complications he had with finding the right sound.
On top of that, he was incredibly courteous and willingly sent some early, unused versions of some of the tracks from the games. Today, I'm going to share a couple of those tracks with you to listen to. I will be putting these and the other tracks into a YouTube video this year, hopefully within the coming months! Have a listen to history and let me know what you think! Do you prefer these versions over the finished/released tracks?
Track 1: Adventure - The Shattered Medallion
Track 2: Waiting - Sea of Darkness
Until next time!
