I’m Thinking Something Like Olivia

​Good evening, everyone! Today was another somewhat eventful day.

I had my final cinematography class today (thank goodness). I liked the class, but being a cinematographer is not where I see myself in the future. We’ll see what happens.

This morning, I released the first video in a brand-new series of videos called “Countdown to Midnight in Salem”! My friend Corrie and I created this series as a fun little way to start prepping for the release of MID next week. She wrote them, and I recorded and edited them. Today marked the beginning of the series with what we thought were the top 5 places to play MID when it launches. I thought the video came out pretty well. Check it out below!

​HeR Interactive is closed tomorrow and Friday for Thanksgiving, so they dropped a new character render earlier than usual. I still need to make a video on it, so as of right now, I’ll be posting my thoughts here.

This render isn’t great. The depth of field they tried to create wasn’t very good. Olivia’s animation doesn’t look great (especially her face). Even the textures of some of the surrounding objects such as the hay bales, wooden crates, and trees just don’t look very good. I don’t know, I still think Mei’s render (not so much the character, but the environments) looked way better.

The MID digital giveaway is happening for another 5 days! There have been a lot of entries which is super exciting! If you haven’t already entered, you should do so! Other than that, I can’t think of too much else that’s gone on. I’ll be back again tomorrow hopefully with some more stories! Black Friday is right around the corner, and as a university student it’s going to be really hard to not take advantage of a Steam sale or two. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
