Hello fellow sleuths! Happy May! Today I worked on refreshing and updating the website's homepage.
Ever since I launched the website, I haven't been fully pleased with how the homepage looked. It's had several iterations and gone through many updates, but the current state it's in is my favorite. It isn't perfect, and I will most likely add/remove various elements as time goes on, but it will definitely be staying in this particular format for a while.
This evening, I found out that 21 of the Nancy Drew games had been seemingly removed from Steam. It was the weirdest thing. I made a video about it and put up an Instagram post, however it was very quickly discovered that Steam had a glitch in their servers today. To avoid confusion for the future, I've taken down the post and video just because I don't see any reason to spread this information and cause panic in people. The games are all back to normal on Steam, so for people that may see it late there's no point in getting them to go to the Steam website and come back and say "Everything is fine now, I just checked!" because that will just be tiresome. Better to completely avoid the mess of it all.
On another note, I got an awesome package in the mail yesterday! Calina of StoryRetold was selling some Nancy Drew books on her Etsy shop that used to be in HeR Interactive's office library. These books are special because they bear the old HeR address stamped in the front of the book. She also sent another little gift along... but I think I will keep it a secret for a little longer! All I'll say is that I had no clue this item was ever made and am thrilled to have it in my collection!
Mother's day is coming very soon and to celebrate the event, HeR is holding a Mother's Day sale from May 1st until May 9th. Use code MOM22 at checkout to get 30% off any of the games (digital and physical while supplies lasts)! This isn't sponsored, just wanted to give them a little shoutout.
That about wraps up today's post. Until next time, detectives!
