Hello fellow sleuths! As per usual, there hasn't been a whole lot happening in the Nancy Drew world. For today's post, I wanted to travel back in time to 10 years ago from today and see what was happening at HeR Interactive! Back on December 5th of 2012, Little Jackalope made a post to the Amateur Sleuth Blog featuring a photo of her working in her cubicle (most likely writing a post for the ASB) while enjoying a cherry lollipop. As it happened, HeR was having a promotion on where you could order any Nancy Drew game during the week and get a free Lickie Loo lollipop 2-pack as a special gift! Here is the photo she shared on the blog: I wish HeR would bring back the Lickie Loo lollipops! They always seemed rather plain, but still a cool ND item to have! Here's a photo of what the original Lickie Loo packages looked like when HeR was giving them out: Something I would LOVE to try and do one day would be to make custom little boxes of each of the various candies from the Nancy Drew games as they appear in Alibi in Ashes and Trail of the Twister. Here's what I mean: How cool would it be to have this in real life?! Maybe one day, when I get smart enough to figure out how to do this.
On another note, December 3rd marked the 3 year anniversary of Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem releasing! It's crazy that it's already been that long and there's still absolutely no news on a new game. I'm very curious to see what happens in the coming weeks, months, and years! Also Happy December! I can't believe we're already 5 days into the month. That about wraps up today's post. Until next time, detectives! Huw

Hang on... there was more than one flavour of Lickie Loos? I definitely only got the cherry ones. I feel deprived.

Haha, yes there should've been 2 flavors per package! Perhaps they ran out of grape when they made the package you got? Either way, you're one of the luck few who got one!

You know, I don't think I had two in a pack. I know I received two suckers, but they were individually wrapped. I can't even remember if they had the Lickie Loo graphic on the outside... were they even out when I got them? Were they perhaps precursors or test versions before they officially began carrying them? Man, now I'm going to be wondering about this. I also got two Koko Kringles with them... hrm... so curious. I wonder if I still have the wrappers. This is a legit possibility. But they'd be in my collector's tin, which is in a storage bin, which is buried in the crawlspace... I'm not sure when I'll follow-up on this.

Haha! Well, when you do end up finding out, I would love to hear the conclusion!

I couldn't wait, haha. I just took a quick jaunt into the basement and quite easily found my ND tub. Apparently my memory is going. I remember getting two of each treat (suckers and chocolate bars) and I had wanted to save one of each, because I thought that would be so cool. But I thought I caved and consumed them all. Evidently I did not, as I found an intact Koko Kringle bar AND a pack of Lickie Loos (and, here I am mistaken again, it has both flavours).

Oh wow! Well, there ya go! That's so cool you still have a Koko Kringle and Lickie Loo pack in storage! I've only got my wrappers from my Koko Kringles and never got a Lickie Loo pack. Excellent pieces of history! Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
