1000 Subscribers

Hey all! Sorry I haven’t posted in a couple days, life has been pretty hectic. Allow me to catch you up on the recent happenings.

The day after MID released, I recorded an entire blind playthrough of the game and have been slowly releasing the episodes to the playthrough. I had loads of fun playing the game and have the unpopular opinion that MID is actually a great game! I thought the writing was great, the puzzles were fun, the voice actors were amazing, the graphics were way better than in the trailer, and I really liked the modernization of the series. It felt new but still had nostalgic elements. I think it’s the right step in a new direction for HeR.

Today, I decided I was going to try and break into the game files for MID. Long story short, it worked! I was able to obtain quite a few assets from the game including the entire soundtrack! Can you believe that there are 76 song files in the game? I put together the 20 completed tracks (the other 56 were some of the same songs but with different musical instruments taken away) and made a soundtrack video out of it. You can listen to it here:

​I really love the soundtrack to the game. It has a great mix of songs that range from calm to full of action. Very well done indeed!

I’ve also been working on my final English project (which I should really be working on right now instead of writing this) which is covering the history of games for girls and HeR Interactive. I’m really excited about it and I’m about halfway done. On top of that, I’ve been doing some laundry and getting things packed up and ready to go home for the winter next week. I can’t believe the first semester has already flown by! I’ve got 4 finals this week which sounds daunting, but they are going to fly by so quickly.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Today was a special day because I finally reached 1000 subscribers on YouTube! I honestly can’t express my thanks and love to all my subscribers and followers. It means so much that you want to follow me and watch my content and hear my opinions. I never thought I would get this far just from playing Nancy Drew video games. Huge shoutout once again (I will never stop) to HeR Interactive for so many years of games and memories. Without you, this channel would never have been possible. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything!
