Fun Facts:
  • This was the first game to release in a thicker DVD style case with a cardboard slipcase over it instead of having a cardboard box.
  • This is the first and only game to take place in Canada.
  • This game was the second to be ported to a Nintendo console. In this instance, the game was ported to the Wii.
  • This game brings back Tino Balducci from Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon.
  • This was the second game to feature a restaurant-style cooking system.
  • This game used to have an online mini game based on the snowball fight sequences in the full game, but was retired due to compatibility issues.
  • HeR created a mad lib for this game that they released on their website for fans to fill out. They posted their favorites on the site.
  • It was suggested but never confirmed nor denied that Bill Kessler is related to Rolfe Kessler, the man who built the carousel horses at Captain's Cove Amusement Park.
  • Lou's bag from the University of Brea is the same 3D model that was used for Dr. Quigley Kim's bag in The Creature of Kapu Cave.
  • This game introduced a brand-new graphical user interface (GUI). Instead of the classic teal interface, this now introduced a widescreen-style interface. It featured brand new icons for the inventory, task list, journal, and phone. It also eliminated the main menu for the first time. There was a starting screen that took place at Nancy's desk just like in Danger by Design and The Creature of Kapu Cave. Since there's no main menu, all the buttons for settings, loading and saving your game, and exiting the game were all placed on the black bar on the bottom of the screen. Depending on the game, there are various game-relevant icons on the top of the screen such as a clock or a whistle.
  • This was the first game in the series not to have the theme song play at the beginning of the game. It did, however, play at the end of the game. The Wii port of the game had the new theme song play at the beginning of the game.
  • When you go to the bathroom in this game, Nancy will say some past character quotes. After the snow shoveling puzzle, you can go to the bathroom and Nancy will say "Call 1-555-MYSTICO and prepare to be amazed!" You can do that to start the journey to an Easter Egg.
  • Ed and Bet Rawley from The Secret of Shadow Ranch recommended you to Chantal for the case.
  • Lani Minella (the voice of Nancy) also voices Freddie, Ollie's daughter.
  • Poppy Dada is mentioned in the article Tino sends you about Lou.

Characters

Picture
Ollie Randall
The resident handyman at Icicle Creek Lodge is tired of the wolf disrupting his day and terrorizing guests. Shooting the wolf and mounting it on the wall will solve all of the resort’s problems, or so Ollie claims at least. Could he be using the wolf as a cover for his own personal agenda?
Picture
Yanni Volkstaia
This egotistical Olympic cross-country skier believes his competitors are spying on him and trying to rattle his nerves. The wolf and Nancy, Yanni says, have been sent to distract him! What is so secretive about his technique that he would like to get rid of all the guests at the lodge?
Picture
Guadalupe Comillo
A birdwatcher who knows very little about birds, but plenty about wolves. Guadalupe arrived at the lodge just as the trouble with the wolf started, and she hasn’t been frightened away yet. Is this suspect trying to scare away the other guests?
Picture
Bill Kessler
An avid ice-fisherman who would like to spend his days catching record setting Northern Pikes at the lodge. The prowling wolf has put a damper on Bill’s trip, and he wants it destroyed. Even if it means destroying Icicle Creek Lodge. Could his obsession and hatred cause him to resort to sabotage?
Picture
Lou Talbot
With his handsome features hidden behind his tousled bangs, Lou’s a world of contradictions and complexities. He’s the only one who says the wolf isn’t responsible for the sabotage, but there’s a lot more to the story that he’s not telling.
